Paulo de Oliveira was established in 1936 in Covilhã, a small city in the center of Portugal. They are vertical company producing from fiber to fabric, under the same roof, including the spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing.

They have been a leading company developing outstanding fabrics with functionalities and comfortability. As far as I remember, they had been already producing travel concept woolen fabrics in 2014.

It is said to be "Eco-Friendly" because they take environmental issues into consideration by using more than 16,316 solar panels to generate most of the electricity used for the entire factory, and by installing a wastewater treatment plant to reuse water.
